Closing Arguments for Clinton Supporters Voting for McCain

Voting time nears, and this is OUR "closing argument" on why we will vote McCain, and you should as well. We've compiled our Top Five reasons NOT to vote for Obama, to go with our article on Why Vote McCain on this page.

c4m's Top Five reasons to vote NO to Obama on Nov. 4th:

5.) Judgement/Character:

His radical associations, starting more than 25 years ago and cultivated since then are cause for alarm. How much of the teachings of Frank Davis, Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, and other haters of our great country make up part of Obama's leanings?

4.) The mainstream cheerleader press:

The Fourth Estate is supposed to be looking out for Americans and serving the readers, NOT serving or being beholden to ANY political candidate or office holder. The press and mainstream TV news departments are openly rooting for Obama. They're willing partisans, not journalists anymore. They join leftist Hollywood and pop culture in mindless Obamamania.

3.) NO experience for the job:

Obama himself admits and has said he's "never been in charge of anything" and that's spooky. We're not comfortable giving the keys to a rookie at this critical time for our nation. Joe Biden -- the fumbling, bumbling inept clod said it best himself: The Presidency doesn't need "on the job training."

2.) Joe Biden: This clumsy, inept gaffe machine needs to retire. He's a Poster Boy for term limits in Congress if ever there was one. His record in Washington is littered with pork barrel spending, mindless entitlements, and downright ridiculous earmarks. He's part of the PROBLEM in Washington, not part of the solution.

1.) Absolute power corrupts absolutely:

Need more be said? If Obama is elected, he will have a Democrat controlled House and a filibuster-proof Senate as his lapdogs. He will be able to do whatever he wishes with NO checks and balances to hinder him in any way. He WILL raise taxes, WILL redistribute income, WILL balloon the deficit and WILL appoint activist, leftist judges to our Supreme Court and the Federal bench. Who's going to stop him? No one will be able to.

Conclusion:

Do you really want the likes of Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Jack Murtha, Barney Frank and the rest of the Democrat-dominated WORST Congress in the history of this country to have a blank check with YOUR earnings? Or would you rather have someone standing up to these robbers and thieves?

Do you really want people like Ayers, Odinga, Wright, Farrakhan, Hamas, (which has endorsed Obama and called Biden a "great man") to have the ear of the President of the United States? With such a President possibly beholden to those who helped him build his base of power?

Put aside your Party Preference and vote Country First. It takes courage to do so.

This race isn't about the color of Obama's skin, it's about the thinness of it. Do you really want a President who is so paranoid and thin skinned, so Nixonian, that he attacks the Joe the Plumbers of the country? One whose campaign, supporters and followers hurl vicious hatred at anyone not falling in line and supporting this flim-flam man? Who say the only reasons you might not be voting for Obama is that you're stupid, ignorant, uneducated or racist?

We say no. Nobama!

Elite Arrogance In It's Finest Hour: The Obama Empire Against The Palin Working Class

Elite Arrogance In It's Finest Hour: The Obama Empire Against The Palin Working Class
By Bernie Gagliano

The Press took its orders from The Obama Empire, Axelrod and Pfloufe, once again last night.

Since Sarah hit it out of the park on last nights debate, they are now left with attacking her for her every day, one of us, middle American speech pattern and main street colloquialisms.

The net result is that we mere working class proletarians are supposed to hate ourselves for not being one of the elite. Elite arrogance at it's finest...with whispers of Imperialism in the air.

The Obama Empire fears the reform Palin speaks of; the reform that is going to put an end to Congress-speak and Beltway babble.

Why, you ask?

Oh, that bubbly positive personality, that enthusiasm, that energy and foresightedness to move us forward can and does connect with real American values. That translates into votes towards solutions and positive change.

Thus, according to the elitists, that pizazz that is Palin is to be degraded, mocked, and questioned. It isn't Washingtonian. Horrors, it is that ordinary down-home American quality that toughs out tragedy and disasters, wins wars, rebuilds cities, invents and innovates what the world wants, volunteers to help their neighbors, sends rescue teams around the world, saves children and feeds the starving masses. And worse, it is grounded in patriotism, love of the Constitution, and a practiced and prayerful religious or spiritual belief.

Agh!, but these American solutions and actions Palin suggests to get American families moving forward would leave The Obama Empire and Dem Party, run-amok Socialism in the dust.

This Maverick reform will open up opportunities faster than any tasty policy offered by The Obama Empire.

Why, you ask?

The Socialists wouldn't be able to redistribute the wealth; they wouldn't be able to pay for governmental programs and end capitalism for years to come if the Mavericks actually get into office and begin their reform.

Should Palin penetrate the hearts of patriotic Americans, Obama Socialism will come to a halt; he will be stopped by a hockey mom, won't be allowed to do his thing and run up trillions more in debt, destroy what value is left in the dollar, and put the government into metastases, bloating the bureaucracy and strangling the economy for state after state.

With McCain and Palin we can finally see the corrupt punished and the incompetent weasels in Congress set correctly. The Mavericks can reform and lead the government with practiced hands. They can clean out the waste, save us on taxes, stimulate new small enterprises where innovation and jobs are born.

This is how America can build 5 million - 10 million - jobs with small enterprises, not massive programs in DC.

And as for foreign affairs, we have the Iraq war to wrap up correctly; not to fumble the ball and abandon the innocent as The Obama Empire is dictating.

Emperor Obama would like to tell the Joint Chiefs of Staff to end democracy on his schedule? Huge mistake.

As for Afghanistan and Pakistan, we all know he is dead wrong.
Pakistan is on tenderhooks politically. We must allow McCain to win the war in the tribal areas, as we see him shore up that government to prevent a collapse in all that has been achieved.

Pakistan has many nukes on missiles pointed all over the globe. We can't allow that government to fall, to stall or to turn rogue.

Who do you feel is best to achieve this safely and securely - McCain or Obama?

We've heard it again and again, this is serious; this is deadly serious business, not cheap jabs on a podium.

What our next POTUS is faced with is 2 wars to be completed with our best outcome, not some weak-kneed retreatist, peace now, talk-to-terrrorists surrender policy.

American lives, American families and American values cannot afford Obama.

Why, you ask?

If the honorable points thus far mentioned don't speak to your heart and mind, consider these last points - ACORN and Intimidation.

Of all the dirty, rotten and left handed tactics to enter politics, ACORN is most poisonous.
Obama will bring ACORN, a corrupt and criminal organization, into the White House as his personal mafia, his chartered cheats, funded by the Dems with our tax dollars to corrupt the electoral system like Saddam Hussein ran his elections, through fear and terror tactics.

If the delegates in Denver still are afraid to tell the truth, what will this nation be like if this criminal syndicate, AKA The Obama Empire, controls our government?

Intimidation is rampant. We already know the FEC is afraid to kick up a fuss. The FBI is afraid to lift the cover off the crimes of Obama and his ACORN and Rezko activities.

Judges all over are afraid to issue orders to go forward with obvious criminal cases in many states and on the federal level co-opted by fear of the race baiting.

Do we dare mention race?
Yes, we dare.

Race is the leif motiv of this entire campaign. It is the undertone of intimidation and is forbidden to mention, but it is there.
No, it is not subliminal.
No, it is not skin color "race".
It is street crime and race riot racial fear that is used and promulgated on TV right out of the mouths of the angry AA spokespeople and hosts, warning that only the One can be the President or else.

Intimidation: "Denver will burn, cities will burn."
We all heard it on CNN, over and over. And it has worked.

Race baiting has worked. The Clintons are in line, the Dems are in line, some Hillary women have capitulated, law enforcement has collapsed, judges are made timid and no one on the MSM outlets has the slightest inkling of talking about this terrorizing of our country.

Oh, they will write books five years from now, but not now. Not when it matters. Not when something is at risk for them.

Well we now have two leaders who are unafraid and they have stepped up to save us from this disgusting mess. John McCain and Sarah Palin are a very good alternative. Four years of reform and the defeat on Nov.4th of all this evil to come is worth working for. It is the only rational choice.

But it is up to us, Clintons 4 McCain - the Hillary women -talking to the undecided and bamboozled women in the swing states.

Please take action now and get on the phones at Citizens for McCain and be forthright, like Sarah was last night.

Talk straight.

They want to hear from you.

09/25/08

The time has come for the people of our country to take the leadership role that has lacked in Congress. A number of our citizens have come to the conclusion that the future of our country is too important for them to be seating on the sidelines waiting for Congress to act on their behalf. A new organization and movement has been born, its name is W.A.M. ( Wake Up America Movement) and this important movement is ready to make a difference in the lives of every American.

Wake Up America movement is a bipartisan grass roots Action group which is connected to a network of millions. As a large and growing independent coalition, we will be conducting grass roots volunteerism in your particular district to provide voters with information on the Congressional race. We are also publishing and distributing online endorsements to worthy candidates throughout a internet readership.

W.A.M. is endorsing only those candidates who: commit to acting on Principles over Party, commit to Fair Reflection of the Will of the People of their State and District rather than represent Special Interests, are willing to work, on a bi-partisan basis for urgent Reform in energy policy, banking and credit practices, fair & balanced trade agreements, support of US manufacturing and employment and maintaining a strong national security.
and understand and support the need for Campaign and Media Reform for honest and fair elections.

W.A.M. will help voters make decisions based on actual facts over outmoded party loyalties. W.A.M. does not support candidates who have acted in opposition to the good will of the People of their State and/or District. Our endorsements for a Reform Coalition in Congress will outreach via phone banks, postcards, local community outreach, press releases, letters to local editors plus an online information campaign.

W.A.M. is the Will of the People expressed through political action. It is part of the Coalition, and yet will reach beyond the present limits to include all Americans who want to control their Democracy. Every concerned American can join W.A.M. to take local action toward national reforms.

W.A.M. the Grassroots Solution, has vital voter information and volunteer sign-up at www.wam08.org

Who gets W.A.M. support? Those who place Principles over political partisanship.

"Democracy, use it or lose it" is the W.A.M. Action Call for local power on national goals.

We Are All Americans

We Are All Americans

This was written by Tracy Karol and the TalkStraight.org Staff contributing
___________________________________________

The McCain Campaign theme throughought this election has been “Country First” — something Barack Obama tried to mock at the Democratic National Convention, probably to usurp his rival’s obvious use of the phrase.

What Obama didn’t count on, though, was that John McCain doesn’t just run on words - as Rudy Giuliani said, “change is not a destination, just as hope is not a strategy.” John McCain MEANT what he said when he said “Country First”- not as a campaign slogan, but as a way of life. It’s something Americans saw in his acceptance speech, and something the convention speakers led up to in the nights before John McCain spoke

First, the Democrat-Turned-Independent

It’s ironic that the man who might have ran on a ticket against John McCain eight years ago gave a rousing speech for him instead this week at the opening of the Republican National Convention – and by doing so will likely be punished by the party that once loved him.

But Joe Lieberman, the first of many speakers at the RNC to echo the theme of “Country First,” didn’t seem to care. Despite the risk to his career – and make no mistake that it was huge – he stood up for John McCain in front of an initially tepid audience. Why? In his words:

“I don’t have to tell you that we were blessed in this country to have a great generation of founders, and they foresaw the danger of this kind of senseless partisanship. In fact, our first president, George Washington, in his farewell address, warned that the spirit of party could be the worst enemy of our democracy and enfeeble our government’s ability to do its job.

My friends, I think tonight we could say that President Washington was absolutely right. The truth is, today we are living through his worst nightmare in the capital city that bears his name. And that brings me directly to why I’m here tonight. What, after all, is a Democrat like me doing at a Republican convention like this? Well, I’ll tell you what. I’m here to support John McCain because country matters more than party.
I am here tonight for a simple reason. John McCain is the best choice to bring our country together and lead America forward.” [1]

Joe Lieberman, Al Gore’s running mate in 2000 and the man who would have run against John McCain had McCain beaten George Bush in the primary that year, seems to have seen the light in the past eight years. He, like McCain, has put aside partisan politics. He has even become an Independent. While Democrats thus far haven’t punished him for it, after his speech at the RNC they have threatened to do so. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is threatening to take away Lieberman’s chairs on the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs committees. [2]

Lieberman knew this going in, yet he attacked Barack Obama and urged Americans to vote for John McCain and put country before party anyway. He said:

“Now, let me share something with you that I’m in a unique position to do as a Democrat. My Democratic friends know all about John’s record of independence and accomplishment. And you see, that’s why I think some of them are spending so much time and so much money trying to convince the American people that John McCain is someone else. I am here to tell you what I think you know, but I want to speak to the people out there. Don’t be fooled by some of these political statements and advertisements. Trust me. God only made one John McCain and he is his own man.

Let me, as John would say, give you some straight talk here. If John McCain was just another go-along partisan politician, he never would have taken on corrupt Republican lobbyists or big corporations that were cheating the American people or powerful colleagues in Congress who were wasting taxpayer money, but he did. If John McCain was another go-along partisan politician, he never would have led the fight to fix our broken immigration system or actually do something about global warming, but he did.” [3]

But Lieberman wasn’t done yet. He reached out to Democrats, Republicans, Independents, and undecided voters. He did his best to convince Americans, as an Independent (and Independents, clearly, will be a huge factor in this election), to vote for John McCain:

“You may be thinking of voting for John McCain, but you’re not sure yet. Some of you may never have voted for a Republican before and, frankly, in an ordinary election, you probably never would. But I want you to believe with me that this is no ordinary election — (cheers, applause) — because — and it’s no ordinary election because these are not ordinary times. And, trust me, John McCain is no ordinary candidate. You may not agree with John McCain on every issue, but you can always count on him to be straight with you about where he stands, and to stand for what he thinks is right for our country regardless of the politics. I can tell you with a certain faith that, as president, you can count on John McCain to be what he is naturally - a restless reformer who will clean up Washington and get our government working again for all of the American people. So tonight, I want to ask you whether you are an independent, a Reagan Democrat, a Clinton Democrat or just a plain old Democrat, this year, when you vote for president, vote for the person you believe is best for the country, not for the party you happen to belong to.

I ask those of you who are watching or listening: Vote for the leader who since the age of 17, when he first raised his hand and took an oath to defend and protect our Constitution, has always put America first. My friends, I appeal to independents, Democrats and Republicans. Let’s come together this November to make a great American patriot, John McCain, our next great president.” [4]

Huckabee: With Wit and Wisdom

Long after most other Republican candidates (unless you actually count Ron Paul) had thrown in the towel, Mike Huckabee stubbornly held on in the primaries. The former governor of Arkansas holds no public office now, but he was a regular on late-night talk shows and was surprisingly engaging and funny for a man with such conservative beliefs. He obviously wanted to be the nominee and joked about it in his speech.

“I really was originally hoping for the slot on Thursday called the acceptance speech. But I am delighted to speak on behalf of my 2nd choice for the Republican nomination for President, John McCain - a man with the character and stubborn kind of integrity that I want in a President.” [5]

Then Huckabee got serious. The Democrats might have talked a lot about unity, but the Republicans didn’t focus on that. They didn’t have to – they had a Democrat/Independent at their convention, and their true message was not about party unity, it was, basically, about Country Before Party. Signs that read “Country First” were in abundance – something Barack Obama had tried to mitigate in his acceptance speech the prior week when he said he puts country first too (but he voted with Democrats 97 percent of the time and falsely accused John McCain of voting with George Bush 90 percent of the time).

In his speech, Huckabee staunchly supported John McCain, even while praising Barack Obama for his own achievements – the fact that he has become his party’s nominee “not because of his color, but with indifference to it.” (Though many could argue this point, as Obama himself has pointed out numerous times that he is, in fact, black – then decried people for being racist for saying he is black).

Huckabee also touched on John McCain’s economic plan and foreign policy experience – something Barack Obama clearly lacks.

If you’re a young couple losing your house, your credit rating, and your American dream, you want something to change. John McCain offers specific ideas to respond to this need for change. But there are some things we never want to change - freedom, security, and the opportunity to prosper.

Barack Obama’s excellent adventure to Europe took his campaign for change to hundreds of thousands of people who don’t even vote or pay taxes here. It’s not what he took there that concerns me. It’s what he brought back. Lots of ideas from Europe he’d like to see imported here.” [6]

Finally, Huckabee reminded Americans what John McCain stands for, has been through, and went after Obama on his willingness to negotiate with rogue nations – or his just plain naiveté.

Maybe the most dangerous threat of an Obama presidency is that he would continue to give madmen the benefit of the doubt. If he’s wrong just once, we will pay a heavy price. John McCain will follow the fanatics to their caves in Pakistan or to the gates of hell.

What Obama wants to do is give them a place setting at the table.

John McCain is by far the most prepared, experienced, and tested Presidential candidate. Thoroughly tested. When John McCain received his country’s call to service, he didn’t hesitate, and he didn’t choose the easy path. He sat alone in the cockpit, taking off from an aircraft carrier to fly in unfriendly skies, knowing he might not make it back. And one day, he didn’t make it back. He was shot down and captured. He was brutally tortured.

He could have eased his own pain and even cut short his imprisonment by uttering a few simple words renouncing his country. But he loved his country and knew that to return with honor later was better than to return without it now. “[7]

Romney: Rival, Rich Man, Economist?

Many wonder why former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney left the race for the Republican nomination so early – he was clearly well funded and beloved by many in the conservative community. Romney and John McCain, reportedly, have never been exactly close. That didn’t stop many in the media from speculating that Romney (along with many other names tossed about) would be McCain’s running mate. It also didn’t stop Romney from gamely campaigning for John McCain these last months or endorsing him again at the convention – talking about what is perhaps one of Romney’s strongest points: the economy.

“I spent 25 years in the private sector. I’ve done business in many foreign countries. I know why jobs come and why they go away. And I know that liberals don’t have a clue. They think that we have the biggest and strongest economy in the world because of our government. They’re wrong. America is strong because of the ingenuity, and entrepreneurship, and hard work of the American people. The American people have always been the source of our nation’s strength, and they always will be. We strengthen our people and our economy when we preserve and promote opportunity. Opportunity is what lets hope become reality.” [8]

Romney also talked about the threats of terrorism echoed in other speeches.

Fred Thompson: The Speech of His Life?

Thompson, McCain’s friend, primary rival, a former actor and Tennessee senator, made several blunders early in the primary and dropped out. He made up for those blunders with a rousing speech – coming out swinging in full support of the McCain/Palin ticket. First he defended Gov. Sarah Palin against the smears Joe Biden has already launched at her:

“Speaking of the vice presidential nominee, what a breath of fresh air Governor Sarah Palin is. She is from a small town, with small town values, but that’s not good enough for those folks who are attacking her and her family. Some Washington pundits and media big shots are in a frenzy over the selection of a woman who has actually governed rather than just talked a good game on the Sunday talk shows and hit the Washington cocktail circuit. Well, give me a tough Alaskan Governor who has taken on the political establishment in the largest state in the Union - and won - over the beltway business-as-usual crowd any day of the week. Let’s be clear…the selection of Governor Palin has the other side and their friends in the media in a state of panic. She is a courageous, successful, reformer, who is not afraid to take on the establishment. Sound like anyone else we know?

She has run a municipality and she has run a state.” [9]

Thompson then went on to describe the story – known in sketchy outline to many but in detail to few – of John McCain’s early life.

“John McCain’s character has been tested like no other presidential candidate in the history of this nation. He comes from a military family whose service to our country goes back to the Revolutionary War. The tradition continues. As I speak, John and Cindy McCain have one son who’s just finished his first tour in Iraq. Another son is putting ‘Country First’ and is attending the Naval Academy. We have a number of McCains in the audience tonight. Also here tonight is John’s 96-year-old mother, Roberta.

All I’ve got to say is that if Roberta McCain had been the McCain captured by the North Vietnamese, they would have surrendered.

Now, John’s father was a bit of a rebel, too. In his first two semesters at the Naval Academy, he managed to earn 333 demerits.

Unfortunately, John later saw that as a record to be beaten. A rebellious mother and a rebellious father - I guess you can see where this is going. In high school and the Naval Academy, he earned a reputation as a troublemaker. But as John points out, he wasn’t just a troublemaker. He was the leader of the troublemakers. Although loaded with demerits like his father, John was principled even in rebellion.

He never violated the honor code.

However, in flight school in Pensacola, he did drive a Corvette and date a girl who worked in a bar as an exotic dancer under the name of Marie, the Flame of Florida. And the reason I’m telling you these things, is that, apparently, this mixture of rebellion and honor helped John McCain survive the next chapter of his life: John McCain was preparing to take off from the USS Forrestal for his sixth mission over Vietnam, when a missile from another plane accidentally fired and hit his plane.

The flight deck burst into a fireball of jet fuel. John’s flight suit caught fire. He was hit by shrapnel. It was a scene of horrible human devastation. Men sacrificed their lives to save others that day. One kid, who John couldn’t identify because he was burned beyond recognition, called out to John to ask if a certain pilot was OK. John replied that, yes, he was. The young sailor said, ‘Thank God’…and then he died.

These are the kind of men John McCain served with. These are the men and women John McCain knows and understands and loves. If you want to know who John McCain is, if you want to know what John McCain values, look to the men and women who wear America’s uniform today. The fire on the Forrestal burned for two days. Twenty planes were destroyed; 134 sailors died. John himself barely dodged death in the inferno and could’ve returned to the States with his ship. Instead, he volunteered for combat on another carrier that was undermanned from losing so many pilots.

Stepping up. Putting his ‘Country First.’ Three months later John McCain was a Prisoner of War. On October 26, 1967, on his 23rd mission over North Vietnam, a surface-to-air missile slammed into John’s A-4 Skyhawk jet, blowing it out of the sky. When John ejected, part of the plane hit him - breaking his right knee, his left arm, his right arm in three places.

An angry mob got to him. A rifle butt broke his shoulder. A bayonet pierced his ankle and his groin. They took him to the Hanoi Hilton, where he lapsed in and out of consciousness for days. He was offered medical care for his injuries if he would give up military information in return. John McCain said ‘No.’

After days of neglect, covered in grime, lying in his own waste in a filthy room, a doctor attempted to set John’s right arm without success…and without anesthesia. His other broken bones and injuries were not treated. John developed a high fever, dysentery. He weighed barely a hundred pounds.

Expecting him to die, his captors placed him in a cell with two other POWs who also expected him to die. But with their help, John McCain fought on. He persevered. So then they put him in solitary confinement…for over two years. Isolation…incredible heat beating on a tin roof. A light bulb in his cell burning 24 hours a day. Boarded-up cell windows blocking any breath of fresh air.

The oppressive heat causing boils the size of baseballs under his arms. The outside world limited to what he could see through a crack in a door.

We hear a lot of talk about hope.

John McCain knows about hope. That’s all he had to survive on. For propaganda purposes, his captors offered to let him go home. John McCain refused. He refused to leave ahead of men who’d been there longer. He refused to abandon his conscience and his honor, even for his freedom. He refused, even though his captors warned him, ‘It will be very bad for you.’ They were right. It was.

The guards cracked ribs, broke teeth off at the gums. They cinched a rope around his arms and painfully drew his shoulders back. Over four days, every two to three hours, the beatings resumed. During one especially fierce beating, he fell, again breaking his arm. John was beaten for communicating with other prisoners. He was beaten for NOT communicating with so-called ‘peace delegations.’ He was beaten for not giving information during interrogations. When his captors wanted the names of other pilots in his squadron, John gave them the names of the offensive line of the Green Bay Packers.

Whenever John was returned to his cell - walking if he could, dragged if he couldn’t - as he passed his fellow POWs, he would call out to them. He’d smile…and give them a thumbs-up. For five-and-a-half years this went on. John McCain’s bones may have been broken but his spirit never was.

Now, being a POW certainly doesn’t qualify anyone to be President. But it does reveal character.

This is the kind of character that civilizations from the beginning of history have sought in their leaders.

Strength. Courage. Humility. Wisdom. Duty. Honor.

It’s pretty clear there are two questions we will never have to ask ourselves, ‘Who is this man?’ and ‘Can we trust this man with the Presidency?’

He has been to Iraq eight times since 2003. He went seeking truth, not publicity.

When he travels abroad, he prefers quietly speaking to the troops amidst the heat and hardship of their daily lives.

And the same character that marked John McCain’s military career has also marked his political career. This man, John McCain is not intimidated by what the polls say or by what is politically safe or popular… John McCain cannot raise his arms above his shoulders. He cannot salute the flag of the country for which he sacrificed so much. Tonight, as we begin this convention week, yes, we stand with him.

And we salute him. We salute his character and his courage.

His spirit of independence, and his drive for reform. His vision to bring security and peace in our time, and continued prosperity for America and all her citizens. For our own good and our children’s, let us celebrate that vision, that belief, that faith so we can keep America the greatest country the world has ever seen.” [10]

Keynote Rudy: Former Mayor of a Big Town

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, yet another of John McCain’s rivals early in the primary season, delivered the keynote address, and it was, judging by the crowd’s reaction, a knockout.

Seriously, Giuliani needs to run for office again – this time perhaps with a different strategy, but no true American can truly say he didn’t do a wonderful job after the 9/11 attacks. As NYC mayor, he ran a city larger than many states. He clearly has the experience to run for any political office. And he graciously gave his wholehearted support to John McCain. The text of the whole speech is worth reprinting, but some highlights are here:

“To those Americans who still feel torn in this election, I’d like to suggest one way to think about this to help make a choice in 2008. Think about it this way. You’re hiring someone to do a job, an important job, a job that relates to the safety of yourself and your family. Imagine that you have two job applications in your hand with the name and the party affiliation blocked out. They’re both good and patriotic men, with very different life experiences that have led them to this moment of shared history. You’ve got to make this decision, and you’ve got to make it right, and you have to decide - who am I going to hire.

On the one hand, you’ve got a man who’s dedicated his life to the service of the United States. He’s been tested time and again by crisis. He has passed every test.

Even his adversaries acknowledge, Democrats, Republicans, everyone acknowledges that John McCain is a true American hero. He loves America, as we all do, but he has sacrificed for it as few do. As a young man, he joined the military. And being a ‘Top Gun’ kind of guy, he became a fighter pilot. He was on a mission over Hanoi when his plane was shot down. He was tortured in a POW camp. But he refused his captors’ offer of early release, because this is a man who believes in serving a cause greater than self-interest, and that cause is the United States of America. America comes first!

He has proved his commitment with his blood. He came home a national hero. He had earned a life of peace and quiet. But he was called to public service again, running for Congress and then the United States Senate, as a proud foot soldier in the Reagan revolution. His principle independence never wavered. He stood up to special interests. He fought for fiscal discipline and ethics reform and a strong national defense. That’s the one choice. That’s the one man.

On the other hand, you have a resume from a gifted man with an Ivy League education. He worked as a community organizer. (Laughter.) What? (Laughs.) He worked - I said -AUDIENCE: (Chanting.) Zero! Zero! Zero! Zero! Zero! I said — okay, okay. Maybe this is the first problem on the resume. (Laughter.) He worked as a community organizer. He immersed himself in Chicago machine politics. (Boos.) Then he ran - then he ran for the state legislature, and he got elected. And nearly 130 times, he couldn’t make a decision. He couldn’t figure out whether to vote yes or no. It was too tough. He voted - he voted ‘present.’ Sheesh! I didn’t know about this vote ‘present’ when I was mayor of New York City. Sarah Palin didn’t have this vote ‘present’ when she was mayor or governor. You don’t get ‘present’ - it doesn’t work in an executive job. For president of the United States, it’s not good enough to be present. You have to make a decision.

A few years later, he ran for the U.S. Senate. He spent most of his time as a celebrity senator - no leadership, no legislation to really speak of. His rise is remarkable in its own right. It’s the kind of thing that can happen only in America. (Laughter, applause.)

But he’s never run a city, he’s never run a state, he’s never run a business, he’s never run a military unit, he’s never had to lead people in crisis. He is the least experienced candidate for president of the United States in at least the last 100 years. Not a personal attack, a statement of fact. Barack Obama has never led anything, nothing! Nada!

Nada! Nothing!

Well, the choice in this election comes down to substance over style. John McCain has been tested; Barack Obama has not.

Tough times require strong leadership, and this is no time for on-the-job training.

We agree - we agree with Joe Biden -one time - one time, when he said that - until he flip-flopped and changed his position. And yes, being president means being able to answer that call at 3:00 in the morning.

And that’s the one time we agree with Hillary. I bet you never thought Hillary would get applause at this convention. She can be right. Well, no one can look at John McCain and say that he’s not ready to be commander in chief. He is. He’s ready. And we can trust him to deal with anything, anything that nature throws our way, anything the terrorists do to us. This man has been tested over and over again, and we will be safe in his hands and our children will be safe in his hands and our country will be safe in the hands of John McCain. No doubt!

I learned as a trial lawyer a long time ago, if you don’t have the facts, you got to change them. So our opponents want to reframe the debate. They would have you believe that this election is about change versus more of the same. But that’s really a false choice, because there’s good change and bad change. Because change is not a destination, just as hope is not a strategy.” [11]

The New VEEP: Gov. Sarah Palin:

For those who thought Gov. Sarah Palin was an untested, inexperienced, pretty addition to the ticket, they were in for a surprise with her spirited speech at the RNC convention. She was also not a last-minute pick, or someone who was not vetted by the campaign - check the blogs and you’ll even find a petition from more than six months ago to “draft Sarah Palin” for VP. In any case, she played her role well – she introduced herself and her family to the American public, showing that she is an average American citizen, and, moreover, a Washington outsider. She talked about the reforms she has made in Alaskan politics. She talked about the jet she put up for sale on e-bay - a luxury she didn’t need as governor and money that could go back to the taxpayers. But she also wasn’t afraid to go on the attack - gracefully - against both Barack Obama and Joe Biden. Rather than go into the details of her speech here, the next Vice President will get her own story.

But some of her speech deserves a quick review:

On public service: “The right reason is to challenge the status quo, to serve the common good, and to leave this nation better than we found it. No one expects us to agree on everything. But we are expected to govern with integrity, good will, clear convictions, and…a servant’s heart.” [12]

On Obama:

“But listening to him speak, it’s easy to forget that this is a man who has authored two memoirs but not a single major law or reform — not even in the state Senate. This is a man who can give an entire speech about the wars America is fighting and never use the word ‘victory’ except when he’s talking about his own campaign. But when the cloud of rhetoric has passed…when the roar of the crowd fades away…when the stadium lights go out, and those Styrofoam Greek columns are hauled back to some studio lot — what exactly is our opponent’s plan? What does he actually seek to accomplish, after he’s done turning back the waters and healing the planet? The answer is to make government bigger…take more of your money…give you more orders from Washington…and to reduce the strength of America in a dangerous world. [13]

The Original Maverick: John McCain

John McCain’s speech, like Sarah Palin’s, deserves its own story. Both will be out soon.

But even during John McCain’s acceptance speech, Barack Obama’s fans from Code Pink were rioting on the convention floor and Obama himself was sending out fundraising e-mails about his time as a “community organizer” – something even the people he supposedly organized in Chicago claim he failed at miserably. One of his flunkies wrote: “But worst of all - and this deserves to be noted - they insulted the very idea that ordinary people have a role to play in our political process.” [14]

Of course, ordinary people are most certainly a part of John McCain’s campaign (not paid bloggers, certainly, as Obama employs; volunteers, rather, like the people who run this site). Because the stakes are too high to do anything less.

The stakes are so high that, for free, thousands of grassroots organizations have joined John McCain, usually without his knowledge, such as this site – to defeat the threat Barack Obama poses.

Ironic that the DNC was supposed to be all about “Unity” – but John McCain and Sarah Palin are not about unifying a party – though they were both thoroughly (and sincerely) endorsed by McCain’s former rivals.

This is not a usual election. And this is not a usual candidate – or ticket. And this is not just a slogan – the actions clearly back up the words: Country Before Party, America First. And the only ticket for these troubled times is McCain/Palin.

"Obama and the politics of hatred . . . Cristi Adkins, Sarah Palin . . . "

Right now, the Obama Campaign is desperate and will use its slime machine to try to destroy Sarah Palin and her family. It has done the same with anti-Obama media figure, Cristi Adkins, an ex Army MP, nurse, and mother of two teenagers and a three-year old.

If you'd like to hear me talking on KDKA-TV about America's newest sensation, Sarah Palin, click on the following link: http://kdka.com/video/?id=45870@kdka.dayport.com

The report tonight is the Obama Campaigns plans to take Sarah Palin out of the spotlight -- as if they put her there in the first place. Barack Obama and his "Boys Club" should have learned by now that Sarah does not "play well with others" when they're political trash merchants. She will not allow them to "Hillarygate" her.

Obama and his huge hate machine will not succeed in destroying either Cristi or Sarah. But I think it's critical for people of decency to know what's coming and to warn their associates. My hope is that Gov. Palin and John McCain can put an end ultimately to the Politics of Hatred, which is the approach favored by Obama, the Chicago Machine, and David Axelrod.

(More today about the death threats received by Cristi Adkins -- and fact that some Obama bots tried to spit in her face and push her friend in front of a moving bus . . . Obama's PAID bloggers vilify either Cristi or Sarah, or both, every day. But these two extremely tough women cannot be cowed.

The other day I urged several hundred bloggers to "DEFEND SARAH -- NOW." They did. It surely helped. Two months ago, it was said, "McCain has no online presence." The passionate actions of Cristi Adkins, Michael Schuyler, and others have led to a situation now where there are 500-plus bloggers posting every day in support of McCain-Palin.

Last Friday, those blogs touched directly more than two million visitors -- 500,000-plus on one blog. An urgent point now is to bring more bloggers into the mix. We will dominate the web soon.

They can do so by e-mailing me at: TalkTop65@aol.com. They'll get a blogroll code and material about how they can increase traffic on their sites.

Cristi Adkins Asks, Will These Broken Wings Stay Home or Fly to the Other Side?

Can 18 Million Broken Wings Recover - and Fly Away to the Other Side? As Denver approaches, the flapping that's in this air is the buzz everywhere: What will the Clinton supporters do next?
Cristi Adkins

With unyielding conviction through talking, writing, praying and fighting, the voices of 18 million Clinton Supporters struggled to exert an unmistakable solution for America, one they know as Senator Hillary Clinton. Yet, in the aftermath of a democratic debacle they're left behind like fallen angels nursing broken wings. Now wondering where to go, left or right, those 18 million must consider whether they will just stay home -- or recover their hope and strength -- and fly to the other side.

Surrounded by dampened spirits and broken wings, the DNC gives the 18 million nothing, while requesting much. Should those 18 million give up their dream now or will they invest more hope in a "November surprise?" I, Cristi Adkins, have declared my pledge to fly over, but there are many days when that decision is questioned again and again. And, like myself, there must be many other supporters who feel the same.

As thoughtful women - and many men - some of these angels declare it a crime to just stay home rather than invoke our most powerful birthright: the right to vote in a valid democratic process. It's a sacred right too often taken for granted. Exercising it is a powerful force uplifting each individual's spirit and moral fiber.

Amidst all the broken wings, whispers of injustice, sexism, inequality and questions of 'His Will' hover in the Democratic Party's air. The DNC's insincere declarations of remorse over the chosen offer little solace. But what is to come if the voices of those 18 million simply surrender now?

In the DNC's flawed process, the 18 million invested everything they had only to be left feeling scorned and ignored for believing that "now was the time." When will the voices of these 18 million angels begin to matter to the DNC - if ever? Or, is their best option to fly to the side of an American hero, the maverick AKA, John McCain?

With their wounded spirits, the 18 million face an all too familiar struggle. How can they justify staying home when their fore-mothers demonstrated the power of women's will on August 26, 1920?

Almost to the day, in unison, though wounded, jaded, mocked and hated, those brave angels of democracy struggled to end the brutality of women's suffrage...they ended forever in the country the haunting silence of women's voices. Are women to be hushed once again on August 26, 2008?

Despite decades of activism, advocacy, and growing empowerment, are the angels to be left once again in silence -- searching, wondering, lost and alone?

It's as if we, the 18 million, are children without a father and are now hoping for our mother's miracle. If only we knew 'His Will.'

During this year's historical, glass-breaking primary process, the DNC's "good ole boys" showed us harsh political realities. We met misogyny face-to-face on many primary nights, and it came dressed as an inexperienced, unqualified, and arrogant nominee, one selected rather than elected.

Like so many others, I'm also left wondering what to do on November 4.

With broken wings, should we -- the 18 million -- just stay home, or should we carry our dreams to the appealing, but unfamiliar, other side? Let the Denver bells ring and we shall see just what these angels do.
Cristi Adkins

Clintons for McCain Release: Bill Clinton Reveals Obama Not Ready for Prime Time

Bill Clinton Reveals Obama Not Ready for Prime Time
--Former President’s Popularity Magnifies Presumptive Nominee’s Deficiencies, Lack of Qualifications--

Peace, prosperity and a winning personality, just three reasons Americans STILL love Bill Clinton. And now comes word that Barack Obama will allow the former President time to shine by speaking at the 2008 Democratic National Convention, but is this wise?

Clintons4Mccain Founder’s Cristi Adkins and Anne Franklin say the answer is no. “Boasting eight years of one of the most successful presidencies of our era, Clinton’s presence at the convention will only magnify Barack’s deficiencies and signal to Americans how ill-prepared Obama is to be president,” said Adkins.

The contrast between Clinton and Obama is glaringly obvious. “Bill Clinton presided over the longest period of peace-time economic expansion in American history, which included a balanced budget and a federal surplus,” added Adkins. "He's down-to-earth, plays the saxophone and loves to eat McDonald's hamburgers and is in touch with middle America, while Obama is an arugula-eating, admitted cocaine user who accuses people of being racist and clinging to their guns and religion.”

On the other hand, Obama’s commander-in-chief credentials are non-existent and the Illinois senator often comes across as an ultra-elitist, just ask former Hillary supporter Anne Franklin.

“His refusal to visit injured US troops on his grand tour across Europe and the Middle East also demonstrates an extreme lack of character. Furthermore, the mounting evidence and recent developments regarding his religious background and facts surrounding his true identity raise numerous questions. He must be thoroughly vetted. The fact that he has taken such steps to hide his background is cause for concern,” said Anne Franklin.

Adkins added, “Obama has life-long associations with racist pastors, dirty slumlords and terrorist sympathizers.”

For more information on the 2008 presidential campaign and other current affairs ignored by the main stream media, catch the Clintons4McCain weekly radio show. This Saturday, August 16th at 5pm EST, pro-military and pro-American heroines Beverly Perlson and Debra Bartoshevich will join C4M to discuss basic American freedoms and responsibilities.

Perlson, who is from the Chicago area, founded The Band of Mothers (http://TheBandofMothers.com), an organization of soldiers' moms committed "to Step Up, Stand Up and Stick Up For Our Soldiers." As a member of the 82d Airborne Division, Perlson's Bronze-Star-winning son, Sergeant John White, served four tours of combat duty in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Bartoshevich is from Wisconsin and was elected a Hillary Clinton delegate to the Democratic National Convention. When she announced she would vote for John McCain in the General Election, the state party quickly stripped her of her rights to attend the convention as a Clinton supporter.

Move On Davide Duke, Obama is the New Racist in Town Competing for the White House Now!

Imagine an America that is bowing to tolerance and becoming enlightened through a higher level of consciousness. Visualize a country where younger generations will arise with no hatred, no bias and live free of closed minded prejudices. Just when you envision this dream of harmony and acceptance on the brink of society, a society ripe for unity ...you are given a golden opportunity to participate in a revolution. The One arrives on the scene like a liberator to the molested.

Yet, the day of reckoning arrived without a whisper of race…in the beginning. Slowly, with pawns in place, little by little the overtures of bigotry, intolerance and discrimination sluggishly swayed the innocent to ‘make the guilty pay.’

It-the hatred and ethnocentrism- sneaks in like a snake on a hot summer day silently awaiting its prey; it slithers in silence waiting to strike the unsuspecting prey. The venom has a paralyzing effect just before the deadly poison can exterminate the mark.

Only this snake is slinking its way through the senate seducing super delegates. The young and easily influenced, or those so desperate for a day of reckoning, are spellbound by the master.

Defined best by Betty Jean Kling, The One is the Racist!

Race was not an an issue for me when Obama came on the scene. I
remember when he came sauntering out on the stage at the Democratic
convention. Yes, he sauntered across the stage even then and I thought it
was fine - then. I loved his speech and I remember thinking this man
is going to be our president some day. I don’t remember thinking
about his color at all! I didn’t think in those terms - then.

Since January race has become an issue and it was made an issue by those who are
allowed to make it an issue. Blacks! Whites are not allowed to make it an issue!
Anyone white knows that! If You are black you can say the ‘N’ word at will
- if you are white - you had better not even refer to it as the “N” word let
alone spell it out.

The media has run the issue of race into the
ground and is determined to ask racists questions which they are allowed to do
because every time a white answers - the blacks can attack the whites for
answering! So the media is a willing pawn for the blacks. Read more http://freemenow.wordpress.com/the-one-is-a-racist/
Even more disturbing is that with media in tow, we pretend that we are a society of acceptance. Some whisper, some talk, most look the other way when true racism raises it's ugly head. When it is so blatant and cannot be denied, what do we do with the 'racist' in todays society? We let freedom ring and let the whole world know that we are NOT going to tolerate those who are intolerable. Emblematic of true justice and tolerance of all, the great state of Louisiana denied governroship to David Duke back in the 80's.

Alas, a challenge like no other. What to do when the racist is the victim, the victim the racist? Whats more, what to do when we've given the racist his stage without a fight?

It all started on January 3, 2008

While Barack and Michelle entered the Iowa hall, waving and thanking supporters, Jay-Z’s “99 Problems (But A Bitch Ain’t One)” was pumping out of the loudspeakers. While most of Middle America did not recognize that hip hop song, the racist pig and his angry racist wife were clapping and dancing across the stage sending a very loud and clear message to a subculture that the rest of us could not understand.

Have you read the lyrics of this filthy song? Read the lyrics then you will know why in addition to young people from colleges who are young and foolish, uneducated poor people who identify by color only, the easily influenced or easily mesmerized, the
downtrodden, and last but not least the dregs of the earth came out of the
woodwork and registered to vote for the first time in history without knowing
what voting is for!
*Listen to the lyrics folks. Betty Jean Kling

So, what's left to say except 'Move on David Duke, there's a new racist in town named Barack Obama making a play for the White House.'

Obama is Sowing Socialist Seeds in Young People...by Jon Voight

Obama Sowing Socialist Seeds in Young People
by: Actor Jon Voight.
Source: Associated Press
We, as parents, are well aware of the importance of our teachers who teach and program our children. We also know how important it is for our children to play with good-thinking children growing up. Sen. Barack Obama has grown up with the teaching of very angry, militant white and black people: the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, William Ayers and Rev. Michael Pfleger.
We cannot say we are not affected by teachers who are militant and angry. We know too well that we become like them, and Mr. Obama will run this country in their mindset.

The Democratic Party, in its quest for power, has managed a propaganda campaign with subliminal messages, creating a God-like figure in a man who falls short in every way. It seems to me that if Mr. Obama wins the presidential election, then Messrs. Farrakhan, Wright, Ayers and Pfleger will gain power for their need to demoralize this country and help create a socialist America.

The Democrats have targeted young people, knowing how easy it is to bring forth whatever is needed to program their minds. I know this process well. I was caught up in the hysteria during the Vietnam era, which was brought about through Marxist propaganda underlying the so-called peace movement. The radicals of that era were successful in giving the communists power to bring forth the killing fields and slaughter 2.5 million people in Cambodia and South Vietnam.
Did they stop the war, or did they bring the war to those innocent people?

In the end, they turned their backs on all the horror and suffering they helped create and walked away. Those same leaders who were in the streets in the '60s are very powerful today in their work to bring down the Iraq war and to attack our president, and they have found their way into our schools.

William Ayers is a good example of that. Thank God, today, we have a strong generation of young soldiers who know exactly who they are and what they must do to protect our freedom and our democracy. And we have the leadership of Gen. David Petraeus, who has brought hope and stability to Iraq and prevented the terrorists from establishing a base in that country. Our soldiers are lifting us to an example of patriotism at a time when we've almost forgotten who we are and what is at stake.

If Mr. Obama had his way, he would have pulled our troops from Iraq years ago and initiated an unprecedented bloodbath, turning over that country to the barbarianism of our enemies. With what he has openly stated about his plans for our military, and his lack of understanding about the true nature of our enemies, there's not a cell in my body that can accept the idea that Mr. Obama can keep us safe from the terrorists around the world, and from Iran, which is making great strides toward getting the atomic bomb.

And while a misleading portrait of Mr. Obama is being perpetrated by a media controlled by the Democrats, the Obama camp has sent out people to attack the greatness of Sen. John McCain, whose suffering and courage in a Hanoi prison camp is an American legend. Gen. Wesley Clark, who himself has shame upon him, having been relieved of his command, has done their bidding and become a lying fool in his need to demean a fellow soldier and a true hero.

This is a perilous time, and more than ever, the world needs a united and strong America. If, God forbid, we live to see Mr. Obama president, we will live through a socialist era that America has not seen before, and our country will be weakened in every way. Jon Voight is an Academy Award-winning actor who is well-known for his humanitarian work.

Why, You Think Obama is Dangerous? Oh My...

Why, You Think Obama is Dangerous? Oh My…

By: Tracy Karol

It might be a subtle uneasy feeling felt deep inside, like a nagging suspicion you’ve left the iron on with a baby in the room. You are not even quite sure what it is about him, but you know something about Barack Hussein Obama is a bit, well, frightening…dangerous, even. Oops, I said his middle name…it’s only a matter of time before they come and get me!

It could be that you aren’t sure if he has socialist tendencies if not communist/Marxist views (witness his recent wild popularity in European countries with socialist leanings), or Muslim ties, relations and at best sympathies (he has received funds and endorsements from Muslim groups and even terrorists). The two are on opposite ends of the spectrum, so you don’t really know what to believe about Barack Obama but feel he’s slick, maybe too slick?

You might think Obama is dangerous because he doesn’t seem to think before he speaks, unless it is a carefully crafted speech, of course, and those are often blatantly stolen from speeches of the past. When he does speak off the cuff, his remarks show his inexperience, like his comments about invading Pakistan, a country with nuclear weapons – and again after he has oft said he wants to pull out of Iraq. Where does he stand on war? Who truly knows, since he never seems to admit when he is wrong on issues? Hmmm….Clinton supporters have a bit more insight and intelligence when it comes to such things. Call it ‘intuition.’

You might think Barack Obama is dangerous because he never seems to tell the truth. He has changed positions so many times – flip-flopped, if you will – whispering to one audience what it wants to hear and another what it prefers, while the media turns a blind eye, so you truly have no idea what his policies are. In fact, he doesn’t seem to have any policies, other than “hope and change,” which are mere words that sound pretty but don’t actually mean anything.

You think Barack Obama is dangerous because you have been left to wonder if his friends are worse than Al Qaeda; oops I did it again, here they come. By now, some, not all, but some of you have probably heard of his past associations (or not truly past; just tossed under the bus, for the time being) with:

Tony Rezco, the developer and criminal who helped him get his start in Chicago politics and was a close personal friend to both Barack and Michelle Obama, buying the empty lot next to their house so they could buy their home. He’s now in jail.

Louis Farrakhan, whom he helped organize the Million Man March, and who is known as the “black Hitler.”

Rev. Jeremiah Wright, his pastor for 20 years at his radical church, whose rants about AIDS were blatantly racist, who damned America and said our country deserved the 9/11 attacks, while Obama sat in the pews listening and later brought Wright on as an advisor to his campaign.
William Ayers, the terrorist who blew up buildings and also held fundraisers for Barack Obama.

The last and most certainly one of the worst, Rajala Odinga, Prime Minister of Kenya and cousin of Obama who is accused of radical terrorist acts and ethnic cleansing since as far back as 1985. Yet, Obama still endorsed his candidacy and campaigned for him during his run for Prime Minister.

These are just a few of his associates…there are plenty more to come. With friends like Obama's, who needs Al Qaeda?

You think Barack Obama is dangerous because he is inexperienced?
You think he is a proven liar?
You are concerned about electability because of little things like being radically to the left on the issues?

Hmmm…what do you think of his stance on abortion – going further than even NARAL would in voting against legislation similar to the Born Alive Infants Protection Act in Illinois, and his record as the most liberal Senator, a title he took away from Ted Kennedy? Barbaric maybe you think?

Well, if only you’d studied his tax plan you’d know that no matter what your income level, you will pay significantly more in taxes under his leadership than you would under John McCain’s. That should make you feel less reluctant about his competency, right?

Yet even with his radical plans, he is still against gay marriage, something most in the homosexual community don’t even know – so they support him, assuming he will back that cause when in fact he is only in favor of civil unions, the same as John McCain. While his healthcare plan would not only leave millions still uninsured, it would drive up taxes so high that those who most needed it would be pushed into poverty. Yet, you think he is dangerous? I say indeed!

You know Barack Obama is dangerous for this country, and you know he is dangerous for you personally? There are many reasons why people think he is dangerous, so you are not alone.

He’s a study in contradictions. It’s impossible to point to just one, as it’s impossible to pin him down on any one thing. But one thing is clear: You know Obama, a dangerous man, is the wrong choice for America.

Foreign Policy Flip Flops, Fake Interviews & the Media's Obama Love Fest...

…Why You Deserve the Truth about the “Messiah’s” Magical World Tour

Big shot media anchors, a fawning, hand-picked press corps and an arsenal of “fake interviews” can’t stop Barack Obama from piling up mistakes on his tour of the Middle East. “Obama is running around meeting with world leaders negotiating foreign policy as if he’s president,” said Cristi Adkins, founder of the grassroots political group Clintons4Mccain. “Obama’s behavior is wrong and dangerous.”

“Obama is making up his script as he goes,” continued Adkins. “As a sitting senator, he has no authority to agree to an Iraqi timetable for withdrawal or commit sending troops to Afghanistan. His actions are unacceptable and he’s jeopardizing our country’s safety.”

Political pundit David Gergen agrees that Obama made a mistake this week when the senator released a statement outlining details of his discussion with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki.
"We have a long tradition in this country that we only have one president at a time,” Gergen said in an interview with CNN. “He's the commander in chief and the negotiator in chief. I cannot remember a campaign which a rival seeking the presidency has been in a position negotiating a war that's under way with another party outside the country. I think he leaves himself open to the charge … that he's meddling, that this is not his role, that he can be the critic, but he's not the negotiator."

In addition to Obama’s foreign policy gaffes, NBC’s Andrea Mitchell also criticized the senator for conducting fake press interviews during this week’s Mideast tour.

"Let me say something about the message management,” Mitchell said on the air. “He didn't have reporters with him, he didn't have a press pool, he didn't do a press conference," either in Afghanistan or Iraq. Instead Obama manufactured "what some would call 'fake interviews,' because they are not interviews from a journalist."

For more information on the 2008 presidential campaign and other current affairs ignored by the main stream media, be sure to catch the Clintons4McCain new weekly radio show.

The interactive 60-minute show, originating from cities across the United States, will air every Saturday from 5pm to 6pm EST on the BlogTALKRadio network.

YOU'RE THE CURE...to Obamamania

Watching television on Mother's Day, with a growing degree of angst, I surfed the channels to see Senator Clinton's historic Grafton, WV appearance. The first female presidential candidate of my lifetime, this champion for women campaigned on the 100th anniversary of Mother's Day at the international shrine of Anna Jarvis, the founder of mother's day.

Like Clinton, Jarvis committed herself to the betterment of womankind. She meant for Mother's Day to be a sacred occasion, dedicated to honoring our mothers for their sacrifices and devotion. Yet, on that Sunday, May 11, 2008, not even a whisper of this meaningful event was heard on any of the airwaves.

What was the substitution that mothers all over America were left to be honored with this Mother's Day? Bizarre episodes of “Obamamania.”

The day passed with no mention of Clinton's appearance on any broadcast that I could find. In fact, there were but a few mentions of Senator McCain's commercial with him sitting beside his 96-year-old Mother. Somehow, they weren’t “newsworthy.”

Instead, television accounts of Senator Obama's events and movements accosted this country on that blessed day like an acoustic assault. Through the tears in my eyes and soreness in my heart, I watched our chance of positive change slipping further away. I could ask but one question...how do I help supporters of Mrs. Clinton say good bye to their hopes of a fair and balanced political season?

If you've wondered again and over again how all this Obamamania started, then you’re not alone. It’s by no accident you find yourself reading this now. Never knowing what could have been should the popular consensus have conquered the ignorance of the elect, we are forced to swallow the noise. What we are left with is the Obama hype, also known as Obamamania.

Yet, there are champions among us...holding the front line steady and asking for your help now. Like Anna Jarvis, who was never too busy to write letters in support her causes, you have all that is needed right now to impact this Obamamania.

In fact, a pen and paper were the greatest weapons in Anna Jarvis' arsenal in her efforts to use motherhood as a tool for healing the country during the Civil War.

In 1905, through tireless letter writing to politicians, religious leaders and even retail moguls, real change came about. Anna Jarvis' simple idea of honoring mothers spawned a movement that before long swept the world. Yes, this middle-class, blue collar woman at the turn of the century achieved an unusual accomplishment for her time; all through the persistence of her pen.

Anna Jarvis' time here has passed, but her spirit lives every second Sunday in May. It is in this same spirit that she can still teach us a thing or two about change that is more than merely pretty words.

The leaders of this movement, our movement, your movement ...Nobama... are asking you now to bring about a positive change. You can nurture and grow this effort; and, all you need to do now is write – more often now with key strokes than with Anna’s pen strokes.

Now, this time, in our time, 2008, we too have the power to help once more to change the course of history and ease the pain of this country. Yes, Obama is right – although not in the way he thinks about change for this country, it is time. And as Patty Loveless reminds us, ‘life is about change; nothing ever stays the same.'

As our forces continue to gather, we ask everyone to take pen to hand, tap on your laptop and network through the blogosphere...now.

It's time to reach out...reach out to the news media, to the Obama supporters and even to the Super Delegates and ask them, "How can we help you to Say Goodbye to Obama-mania?"

Email friends, relatives and even not-so-loved ones to remind them that while change is unavoidable, Obama's kind of change is suspect, the product of an inexperienced and dangerous man. It’s time for a positive change, a healing moment and a new beginning in this next chapter of our country. It starts with saying 'Goodbye' to the politics of the parties and hello to the President for the People, all the people.

Then, while you're at it give the people you write to all of the reasons ‘Why You Think Obama is not trustworthy – and not the man for America.’

The Huffington Post is THE New White Trash Blogspot

"The Huffington Post is THE New White Trash Blogspot"
C. Adkins

In a the recent past, the Huffington Post was just an ordinary political blog with a fair amount of readers usually considered an intelligent audience. Now, it would seem it's taken a wee bit different approach to journalism: Attract Pure White Trash.

Why, it once was so respected that its brilliance of supporting the Patriotic Candidate Du Jour Barack Hussein Obama was broadcast on the well-respected and trustworthy Colbert Report news show. How much more credibility does one really need, right?

Well, now the Huffington Post has outdone even the dirtiest of Old Chicago Style Politics...it has attacked a respectable fundraiser, an activist and a die-hard Democrat by day, Clinton supporter by heart, Ricki Lieberman.

It seems as though we have gotten to the point of elementary school behavior. We now see people lashing out with derogatory comments instead of intelligent dialog. The emotions run unchecked, and the logic has been thrown out the window. Sort of like throwing out the baby with the bathwater, to use a common expression of old. (By the way, you should check out Obama's vote on the Illinois State version of the Born Alive Infant Protection Act)!

Are we as a society dropping to the level or wallowing in the mud like a bunch of wild hogs in the wilderness? Are we trying to prove our position by being "bigger" than someone else instead of acting like intelligent human beings?

Is it impossible to act like decent human beings, have a reasonable dialog, and show the rest of the world that we are not uncivilized barbarians as some have already done by their words and actions?

Well, only the e-mails will tell and the Huffington Post will post insanely. For now, my best assertion is to steer clear of the Huffington Post lest you be contributing to the poor white trash dialogue.

Cristi Adkins, Anne Franklin and Peter Boykin are Clintons for McCain

"No, we will NOT 'get over it...for a coke snortin, fist bumpin unqualified candidate"
Hear c4m co-founder Cristi Adkins on John Gibson's Fox Radio show recorded June 27th, confront one of your typical ObamaBots who just happened to call in. PUMA and c4m objector calls the show with typical misogyny and racism on display, and is shot down quickly by Cristi. The Obamaphiles just don't get it, and Cristi takes a little time out of her day to set one straight. "You white women need to fall in line and get over it" just doesn't cut it, this IS the 21st Century, correct?(Approximately 8 minutes, mp3 format.)
